The Delaware Academy of Medicine is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1930. Our mission is to enhance the well being of our community through education and the promotion of public health. Our educational initiatives span the spectrum from consumer health education to continuing medical education conferences & symposia .
We provide a meeting place for the medical and dental professions and related organizations. In addition, we provide financial support for medical and dental students, as well as maintain the State of Delaware's medical and dental archives collections.
The Delaware Academy of Medicine is a collaborative organization working with healthcare facilities throughout the state, the Delaware Health Sciences Alliance, the Delaware Division of Public Health, local and national nonprofits, and area institutions of higher learning. Institutional affiliates of the Academy include the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians, the Delaware Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the Delaware Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Delaware Nurses Association, the Delaware State Dental Society, and the Medical Society of Delaware.
